Alyktanir
Tíðni kviðarklofa á Islandi virðist vera að
aukast án þess að einhlít skýring finnist þar á.
Ungur aldur mæðra og sú staðreynd að þessi
börn eru almennt frumburðir er í samræmi við
aðrar rannsóknir. Arangur meðferðar vegna
kviðarklofa hér á landi er sambærilegur við það
sem best gerist annars staðar og dánartíðni er
lág, sérstaklega ef haft er í huga, að fóstureyð-
ing er ekki framkvæmd hér vegna kviðarklofa.
Þó ber að hafa í huga að um smáa rannsókn er
að ræða og því verður að taka alla tölfræði með
fyrirvara.
