llávarðar Saga ísfirðings :4*'
11 Audradur: Þau hion attu Son
hann var a tinga aldri ... hlydinn
og audradur (292).
16 Biarnylur: Olavur Havardson öx
up og giordist ... giorta i brækur
(294—295).
A third quotation, s. v. Brautar-
geinge, is ascribed to this saga, but is
in fact taken from Laxdæla Saga (see
below p. 99).
Víglundar Saga:47
103 Prudur: Þorgrimur prude. —
Tlds name appears in ch. 5.
96 Ojlœte: Gunnlaugur var oflate
mikil. — This sentence does not
appear in the MSS of the saga,
but in ch. 3 is the statement:
“Var Gunnlaugr kallaðr ofláti.”
Probably both quotations were
made front memory, but if Víg-
lundar Saga was included in the
same MS from which the prece-
ding five sagas in AM 568 4to
were copied, Magnús probably
read this saga in the same MS.
Óláfs Saga Tryggvasonar hin Mesta. There are 37 quotations
from the greatest Saga of Óláfr Tryggvason in SLR, and also 2 others
which are in DG 55, but were accidentally omitted from the printed
hook. All the quotations ascribed to Hallfreðar Saga are taken from
the version of that saga included in Óláfs Saga, and two quotations
ascribed to Vatnsdæla Saga are taken from the passage at the beginn-
ing of Hallfreðar Saga which also occurs (in a different form) in
Vatnsdæla (ÓTM I 344^346). There are also several quotations
48 Referred to in SLR as “ísfirðinga Saga”.
47 This saga is mentioned in the list of sources in DG 55, but the name is
omitted in SLR.
53 liey: Dufþakur sagdi: ut i gard-
inum standa ... og þui nærre hatt
(208).

ur madur ... sa er einhæfur hef-
ur verit (211).
127 Tyska: Þad var tyska i þær
munder (212).
103 Prudur: Asbiorn prude (212).
43 Gloar: Nu eru hier glöar ... hef-

■— Same quotation as the pre-
ceding.
85 Miallar jarn: Gieck Ormur þa i
hellerinn ... i dyrnar (223).

ur um ... þegar eg heyrde

hlöðrefil for blóðörn, which is
the reading of the other MSS.
