Sogu”, but I have been unable to find it in any of the sagas of Haraldr. It is,
however, in several other sagas, e. g. Gísla saga 101, Droplaugarsona saga 162,
Njáls saga 49. See FJ 88. In some of these sources it is found in the form:
“Án er illt gengi nema heiman hafi.” Also in GÓ 178, JR 13, and GJ 35. LI

á Amey af ÓIS.” Magnús prúði died in 1594, and the collection in JS 391,
which is probably largely his, is therefore older than SLR. See Arnh. Sig-
urðardóttir, Skírnir 1957, 93—94.
Both these manuscript collections seem to be entirely independent of SLR.
