ABSTRACT
This article depicts the findings of a concerns action research project which was con-
ducted in Oddeyri School in Akureyri during the school years 2002 to 2004. The goal
of this study was to find methods to develop home-school partnerships. To pursue
this goal, it was decided to use a framework that has been developed for school,
family and community partnerships by Dr. Joyce L. Epstein, a sociologist at John
