Þóra Ellen Þórhallsdóttir (f. 1954) lauk BS-prófi í
grasafræði árið 1977 og doktorsprófi í plöntuvist-
fræði frá Háskólanum í Wales árið 1984. Hún var
skipuð prófessor í grasafræði við Háskóla Íslands
árið 1995.
