Þessi grein var rituð til heiðurs Arnþóri Garðarssyni á 70 ára afmæli hans.
Arnþóri færi ég bestu þakkir fyrir vináttu og heimspekilega hvatningu í vel á
annan áratug. Jenny Gill og Graham Appleton tóku þátt í öflun gagna sem
notuð voru til að bera saman þéttleika og fjölbreytni vaðfugla eftir landshlutum.
Gunnar Tómasson og Elsa Marísdóttir veittu svöngum feltmanni margvísleg-
an stuðning meðan sú vinna sem þessi kafli byggist á fór fram og Gunnar las
jafnframt yfir handrit. Hlynur Óskarsson og Jón S. Ólafsson lásu yfir og lag-
færðu margt. Þessu ágæta fólki er þakkað kærlega fyrir stuðninginn.
