135 Tímarit Hins íslenska náttúrufræðifélags Þakkir Fjöldi samverkamanna hefur unnið að þessum rannsóknum. Erlendis eru það einkum Libuse Kolářová og Jitka Aldhoun (f. Rudolfová) í Prag og Damien Jouet og Hubert Ferté í Reims í Frakklandi. Innanlands hafa tugir manna aðstoðað við öflun fugla og snigla til rannsókna, meðal annarra Þorkell Lindberg Þórarinsson, sem safnaði mestöllum þeim efniviði sem rannsakaður hefur verið úr Botnsvatni, og Guðmundur Björnsson, sem hefur fært fjölmarga andfugla af Reykjavíkursvæðinu til rannsókna að Keldum. Tugir manna lýstu einkennum sundmannakláða og gáfu upplýsingar um einstök tilfelli. Jens Magnússon tók 2. mynd h og myndin af baðgestum í Landmannalaugum er birt með leyfi frá Loddon District Explorer Scout Unit. Rannsóknarsjóður Háskóla Íslands hefur styrkt verkefnið um árabil. Öllum er þakkað kærlega verðmætt liðsinni. Heim ild ir Blazová, K. & Horak, P. 2005. 1. Trichobilharzia regenti: the developmental differences in natural and abnormal hosts.
