In further reply to your letter of 2nd December last, I now have
to inform you that upon making the necessary enquiries, we find
that no conflict would appear to threaten in the Icelandic trawler
fishing industry, and that consequently we are at a loss to understand
the reason of your application to us.
Besides, considering that there exists an Icelandic Sailors and
Fishermen's Union, which has been affiliated with the I.T.F. for a
considerable number of years, we cannot see any reason why your
