Viðhorf tveggja leikskólakennara og aðferðir við valdeflingu leikskólabarna
Um höfundana
Guðrún Alda Harðardóttir er pedagog-
ista við leikskólann Aðalþing í Kópavogi
og stundar doktorsnám í menntunar-
fræðum við Háskóla Íslands. Viðfangsefni
doktorsverkefnisins er námstækifæri leik-
skólabarna í einum leikskóla. Rannsóknin
byggist á tveimur sjónarhornum, það er á
eignunarkenningu (e. attribution theory)
og gagnrýninni kenningu. Jafnframt er
stuðst við lykilhugtökin sjálfstraust (e. self-
efficacy) og valdeflingu (e. empowerment),
svo og hugmyndir Judith Butler (2004) um
kyngervi (e. gender). Guðrún Alda lauk
leikskólakennaranámi frá Fósturskóla Ís-
lands árið 1985, námi í fræðslustjórnun frá
sama skóla árið 1992 og M.Ed.-prófi frá
Kennaraháskóla Íslands árið 1998. Rann-
sóknir hennar hafa einkum fjallað um leik-

Baldur Kristjánsson er dósent við
Mennta vísindasvið Háskóla Íslands. Hann
lauk B.A.-prófi í uppeldis- og sálfræði frá
Gautaborgarháskóla árið 1976, M.A.-prófi
frá sama skóla árið 1982 og doktorsprófi
frá Kennaraháskólanum í Stokkhólmi árið
2001. Rannsóknir hans hafa einkum fjallað
um hagi og aðbúnað ungra barna og for-
eldra í nútímasamfélagi hér á landi og á

About the authors
Guðrún Alda Harðardóttir is a pedagog-
ista at the preschool Aðalþing in Kópavog-
ur, Iceland. She is also a Ph.D. student in
education at the University of Iceland. The
topic of her doctoral work is children’s
learning opportunities in one preschool
in Iceland. Attribution theory is one of the
perspectives of the study and the other
perspective is in the spirit of critical theory.
The study is grounded in part on the def-
initions of the key concepts of self-efficacy
and empowerment along with Judith But-
ler‘s (2004) ideas about gender. Guðrún
Alda finished preschool-teacher education
at the Preschool Teachers School of Iceland
in 1985 and received a Diploma in School
Management from the Fósturskóli Íslands
in 1992 and a M.Ed. degree from the Uni-
versity of Education in 1998. Her major
research is in the area of early childhood

Baldur Kristjánsson is Associate Profess-
or at the School of Education, University
of Iceland. He completed a B.A. degree in
education and psychology from the Uni-
versity of Gothenburg in 1976, an M.A.
degree in clinical child psychology in1982,
and a Ph.D. from the Stockholm Univer-
sity Institute of Education in 2001. His
major research interests are in the areas of
childhood and family life in Iceland in a
Nordic comparative perspective. Email:
