Deaths from tuberculosis may be classified as follows (last year’s
figures in round brackets): Pulmonary tuberculosis 71 (82), universal
luberculosis 6 (6), tuberculosis of bones and joints 6 (5), meningeal
tuberculosis 8 (8), abdominal tuberculosis 4 (3), tuberculosis of the
urinary and generative organs 1 (1), tuberculosis of the lymphatic
glands 0 (1).
7. Leprosy. The number of patients has been almost constantly de-
creasing in previous years.

These figures are based upon monthly rejiorts from physicians, but
in the annual report on the disease, which comprises all medical
districts in this country except two 32 cases are notified.

In addition to the monthly reports from district medical officers,
on which the above survey is based, medical officers in all districts,
except three, have made out a list showing the incidence of malignant
tumors during the year. According to these tables there are 278 sucli
patients (tumors of the brain and lymphogranulomatosis included).
On pages 52—53 these malignant tumors are classified acording to
location.
