Hann lauk B.Ed.-prófi við Kennaraháskóla Íslands 1978 með líffræði og landafræði sem meg- insvið, og síðar stærðfræði og eðlisfræði, M.Ed.-prófi í uppeldis- og kennslufræðum 2002 með áherslu á stærðfræði- og nátt- úruvísindamenntun. Hann stundar nú doktorsnám við Háskóla Íslands þar sem hann rannsakar námskrárþróun og nám- skrárfræði með hliðsjón af náttúrufræði- menntun. Rannsóknir hans og þróunar- verkefni eru einkum á sviði raunvísinda- menntunar, námskrárfræða, námsmats og mats á skólastarfi. Netfang: meyvant@hi.is. About the author Meyvant Þórólfsson is a lecturer at the School of Education, University of Ice- land. He completed a B.Ed. degree at the Iceland University of Education in 1978 with emphasis on science, geography and mathematics education, an M.Ed. degree at the Iceland University of Education in 2002 with emphasis on science and mathematics education and is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Ice- land studying science curriculum reform. His research fields are curriculum deve- lopment and curriculum studies, science education, assessment and school evalua- tion and research. E-mail: meyvant@hi.is.
